Create your first job
Set up a job, link the right customer, add a takeoff image, and avoid sending a quote to the wrong recipient.
Last updated June 24, 2026
A QuoCAD job stores the customer, property, address, takeoff image, drawing elements, measurements, pricing assumptions, quote details, reports, and exports for one project.
Create the job
- Open Jobs.
- Click Create job.
- Enter the job name.
- Add the property address.
- Link an existing customer/contact or enter customer details.
- Choose a project type or template if one is offered.
- Save the job.
- Add a plan image, site photo, or map/satellite image.
- Calibrate scale before you start drawing.
Customer and recipient email
The job's linked customer drives the email used on quotes and invoices. Before sending or exporting, confirm the recipient email shown matches the customer you intend to bill. When you change the linked customer, the recipient email updates to match.
If the job's property address is different from the customer's saved address, QuoCAD shows a warning. Confirm you have the correct customer and property before sending a quote or invoice.
Customers and contacts are scoped to your workspace. You can only see and select your own workspace's customers — never another organization's.
