Create and export quotes

Turn a takeoff into a customer-ready quote in the Proposal tab, keep internal costs hidden, and confirm the recipient before sending.

Last updated June 24, 2026

QuoCAD connects your takeoff, quantities, pricing defaults, taxes, notes, and customer/job information to help you create a customer-ready quote. Customer-facing quotes live in the Proposal tab of a job.

Quote workflow

  1. Finish or review the takeoff.
  2. Open the Proposal tab.
  3. Confirm the customer/contact information.
  4. Confirm the recipient email before sending or exporting.
  5. Review line items, totals, taxes, and notes.
  6. Confirm what should be visible to the customer.
  7. Export, print, or share depending on the features enabled for your plan.

Customer-facing vs internal

A customer-facing quote should show your company branding, the customer name, the property/job address, the scope of work, line items, taxes, the total, notes, and any terms or approval details you configure.

Customer-facing quotes do not expose your internal labor assumptions, margin, profit, raw material cost, or private production notes. Those stay in the internal Breakdown report.

Check before you send

Before exporting or sending, review the customer name, recipient email, job address, quote total, tax, any expiration date, public notes, and the preview.
